2007 NYI Report
First, of
all I would like to say it has been great serving on the NYI council this past
year. Kyle gives great leadership and truly has a heart for today’s youth.
This area of college and career is a very important age but also a very
difficult age to reach and keep. I believe the church in whole has really
awakened to see that this is true and an important group to focus on. I know
there of many people of this district who could make a great impact within the
college and career age group.
We have seen
some steps this past year toward making college and career a stronger ministry
on this district. We had several new events offer to this age group events like
speed dating to flag football. One of the most exciting things was we had the
opportunity to take several young adults to M7 conference in February. It was a
very long bus ride but also a great time to build new friendship and have many
very interesting conversions with some of our young adults. The round table
discussion that the church offered for this age group during the conference was
a very important time. For the church as they truly had a chance to hear the
hearts of this generation. I really appreciated the church for making steps to
hear from the next generation of leaders and Christian young people.
All in all
it was a great year and I pray that the coming year will be another large step
for this ministry. Thanks, Kyle and the entire NYI council for the opportunity
to serve this past year with you. Be blessed in all you do!!!
Your brother
in Christ
